End of a Golden 6-week Deutsch Course!
First experience in a classroom with students from so many different countries and myriad of cultures...! Wow - what ultimate fun!! Big thanks to Frau Wilson and Frau Lüders for their highly enterprising methods of teaching...!! They both taught us like they teach little children – hats off to their patience...!
So many memorable moments in the 6-week period that I could recollect almost everything now...! The course was structured such that we get enough opportunities to interact with all our classmates, and still learn the language. One such enjoyable event was the game which we played on the first saturday of our class – the game to guess famous personalities by asking questions in German to our fellow classmates and finding out the personality based on clues...! Was an amazing hour of play, lifting the energy level of all of us, making us know each other better...! I jus loved it...!!!
Another event was the inter-cultural training – an experience which would remain unmatched...! An interaction with people from other countries to find out what others know about our country and to express the values and culture of our country amidst other people, this training was conducted with such enthusiasm, that we felt so much prouder about Mother India after that session.
The forest walk towards Scholss Solitude is worth mentioning here, just for the natural splendour of the route which we all took. All my new made friends from the Deutsch class had participated in it, which was not a just-like-that walk into the forest – but one with intermittent explanations in German about the forest, trees, climate, etc.,
Apart from all these events, the fun which we had in our classroom was simply unmatchable. I was fortunate to have had another friend from India in my class, and we had to answer all the curious questions about Indian culture, food, climate, attire, and so many other aspects, about which even we hadn’t thought much before – from our fellow Italian, Chinese, Taiwanese classmates, sometimes from our teachers too – something which made us realize how much of a stronghold Indian culture has had in the minds of people from other countries.
Probably, the last words must be quoted from Frau Wilson, one of our dear teachers – a very nice quote which she tells every now and then, to make us ask more questions in the class...
"Es gibt keine dummen Fragen; Es gibt nur dumme Antworten... :)" -- There are no stupid questions... There are only stupid answers... :)
Unforgettable 6-weeks...! Thanks-a-lot to both the teachers and to all my friends here who made the time memorable...!! :-)
